Living in an apartment is effectively being homeless

It seems so weird that through alot of human history, having a home,( a physical space you controlled and maintained) was the norm. Now most of us have zero control of our own living spaces, pay someone elses mortgage, and all live one bad week from being on the streets. Apartment leasing is just renting the rights to loiter in a single spot and have some of our actual belongings in. It is a tool used to keep us from unionizing in our workplaces because if we lose income for even a couple days, we could be immediately thrown out. There is no security in where we sleep. Its gotten to the point where alot of people living on the street or in campsites actually work full time jobs (ive done that and its.. horrible). People who dwell in rented homes have much more in common with person camping in…

People who dwell in rented homes have much more in common with person camping in the park than the person who owns their own home.
