Hello, I recently graduated with a bachelors in physics and astronomy and now I work as a physics research assistant. I make $19 an hour. I want to know how exactly do you find and join a union for my field, and what the next step would be? I just want to make sure I’m making the amount of money I deserve. I feel like I don’t have any leverage when it comes to asking for raises because if my professor says no, I’m just gonna say damnnn ok and keep working for her, because I don’t have any other job offers that pay more, so it’s not like I can say no and stop working for her.
