Title says it all. I work in a service industry, the pay is by commission per hour meaning I get x% of the total charged for the time of service. Constantly getting cancelations, just this morning I had my first client cancel and give no reason for it then my second client thought their session was at the wrong time and had to be rescheduled for tomorrow with someone else. This means I've lost half of my expected earnings for the day as well as half the day that I could be doing something else. It really ticks me off that people don't respect that they are messing with someone's lively hood because the decided they didn't feel like coming in to their session that they scheduled. I have worked at places where if you didn't cancel within 24 hours of the service you get charged in full and the worker gets payed there amount but this place is terrible about that policy. Even though the owner says that they enforce it, I haven't been payed for a single service that's been canceled I that time frame. It's a complete slap in the face and I'm over it.
