Have you read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair? I notice a lot of the same themes today that were expressed in that book.

Its interesting to read a book like The Jungle to see how far we've come in terms of labor reform and food safety. It's also amazing to see how much better we have it today than our forebears who immigrated to the US in the early 20th century.
