I'm going to South East Asia in winter and I'm thinking about reducing my 32hrs to 24hrs. Now I'm not sure if I keep the 4-day work week and just reduce the hours to 6hrs or if I go with the more radical approach and go into a 3-day week with 8hrs per day.
FYI I wasn't working the 32hrs I should have in the last months and instead worked more or less 24-28hrs per week. However, I felt way much happier and way more productive than forcing myself to track 8hrs per day.
What I also read is, that the best working hours are 6hrs. So I'm more inclined to this approach. However, having a whole day free and shifting the work-life balance to a more life-work balance seems very interesting to me as well.
So I would love to hear your opinion. Money is something I'm a bit scared about, but it shouldn't be a problem in SEA right? Also for those who made the jump, were you also afraid to ask your bosses?
Cheers
