Hello! I’m an anonymous philanthropist seeking to support Jeff Bezos’ downtrodden employees.
I’m looking for ideas as to what I can do for them and to help draw attention to their heinous working conditions and the man responsible.
Right now I’m thinking of various grants helping people start their own businesses, prepaid grocery cards, housing grants, paying daycare tuition…funding union efforts has also been suggested to me. Any other ideas?
I’m prepared to underwrite the gifts myself but maybe if the event gathers enough attention and support, “AWWW…” can expand its scope.
Any ideas for really impactful ways to give?
I was imagining a way to process giving to people online, but was also considering onsite events. Like setting up a large tent as close as possible to an Amazon fulfillment center and doing an Oprah kind of giving event. I’d even supply food and bev!
This is not a joke. If this goes well I’ll do it with similar companies. I am looking for a way to shame and disgrace those who deserve it while assisting actual people in impactful ways, small to large. The current systems of philanthropy/charity don’t align with my personal values and giving goals.
