I work for a small high end grocery store chain the in the PNW that prides itself on being the first B-Corp grocery store in the nation, having competitive pay, and being an overall great place to work. About 6 months ago there was talk about one of the bigger store locations creating a labor union and moving forward with a vote and winning! Since then nearly half the stores have moved forward to join said labor union movement, change is happening fast. Just this week, my store’s location gained over 57% majority support to move towards unionizing and we filled! I’m so proud of all the organizers involved and all the support we have had. I’m coming here to ask for your stories if you have been through this same process, what was it like and what should we expect as we close in on voting times, and how to make sure we get a good turnout.
