I learned my lesson: I WILL NEVER STAY LATE OR WORK AFTER HOURS EVER AGAIN

After 8 months of hard work in a team where my peers are less educated and experienced than myself, I had my review and asked to be compensated appropriately for my efforts. After staying late and working on weekend numerous times throughout the last 8 months, I was met with “propose a list additional responsibilities that you would like to undertake and we will asses the raise.”

Nor will I ever work a company without specific KPI metrics or a plan for career growth from the jump.

I learned my lesson.
