Hey there, I (f20) just joined a food service place about a week ago that pays fairly well in my area. On my orientation they told me to put in my availability on the app on my phone, so I put the availability I wanted on my phone, the supervisor declined it immediately, he told me to pull up the app, so I did, and he said “let me show you something” took my phone and put me as an open availability, so ofcourse they put me on shifts I wasn't comfortable with, like how they have me on closing, I am not really comfortable walking home at 1AM so I requested them not to, my supervisor declined it and told me if I “can't work the hours I 'agreed' to” then they won't have a position for me, then the next day my supervisor pulled me into his office and told me pretty much the same thing as he did on the app. I tried telling him that I wasn't comfortable with nights and he says I need to commit to that availability for 6 months. He won't let me do any other stations either, I asked him if I could move and he told me “this is what we hired you to do because of your previous work experience”. I have no idea what to do about this, this is getting frustrating, I have only been there for a week.
