I work in a upstate new york cracker barrel near a major interstate thruway with lots of hotels and attractions near by, this cracker barrel was fine when I first started there but now I'm actually seeing that this cracker barrel location is pretty toxic as people walk out of it regularly as fast as they come in.
Over my two months working at this cracker barrel location I have seen countless co workers walk out especially in the kitchen and dish room areas at times the waiting staff/servers can be very mean and verbally abusive to the dishwashers and surprisingly the kitchen staff as well.
At times when it gets packed AND LET ME TELL YOU THIS LOCATION ALWAYS HAS COUSTMERS because it rarely ever dies down usually we have lines running literally through the gift shop and out the door I'm talking where you can't even shop in our gift store because of the peoole waiting for hours on end its shoulder to shoulder at times and you can't really move around unless your bumping into a random coustmer which usually happens.
It's always busy city and the kitchen staff seriously take it because they run around like it's general hospital or grasonatamy they run around like a doctor doing surgery on a dying patient and I feel for them I really do especially at times I feel like the dishwashers can get in he way of the kitchen staff during busy times when every one is rushing includ8ng the managers to get things done.
Alot of the times servers will try to start shit with the dish washing staff especially when there's someone new who's just learning the ropes of the job, and don't get my started on the cashiers and all of the retail staff theirs jobs are a lot harder we kitchen pepole have it the easiest they have to deal with the crowds of people going up front at once and they have to bump into people when there trying to put stuff away like stock the store and also coustmers can sometimes be mean to workers I mean anyone who's worked retail knows this.
But my cracker barrel is so jam packed full of pepole and workers running all over the place you'd think covid-19 never hit my location even if some young blood like me use del8very apps to place orders instead of actually sitting down in an actual restaurant.
We get alot of younger people especially college students since my area has two state colleges and a university and guess who happens to also work at this location a manager whom happens to be earning her bachelor's in chemical engineering yeah they work there to.
let's call her Roy or rashanda for short she usually is pretty chill for being a manager and she is kinda laid back she happens to be engaged to here girlfriend who she met through a freind at her college she goes to her her name is Jessica and she comes into the store alot whith her freinds whom she has an apartment with, her and Roy are the same age and her roommates are all a year younger than roy and Jessica, they also happen to come into the store alot but aren't like Roy and Jessica these ldoes are vulgar rude and cruel they also hate men and are actively participating in abortion and feminist campaigns across there college campus, these ladies don't even have a bone for people whom support the right.
They always come into the store and cause trouble for anyone who they don't like especially the male co workers of mine I am a male my self but never really interact with them.
Tonight was a very busy day for my cracker barrel location and these roommates of Roy's happend to come in at a packed time, toninght the waiters/servers where a little short staffed as 2 waiters were out because of catching covid, and what do you name Amanda my co worker ended up with Roy's roommates whom one of them was secretly having sex with Amanda's boy friend lets call him nick who also happend to work at the cracker barrel location FYI Amanda didn't know they were secretly having an affair.
Well the whole night the girls who were Roy's roommates were giving Amanda shit about her boyfriend and how nobody liked her and thought she was disturbing, disgusting and overly gross to the point were she didn't deserve nick and nick could have deserved better and not some loser like her.
They also told her that some of her former co workers would secretly sleep with nick behind her back and her so called boy freind who she loved was playing mind games and tricks on her Roys roomates sarcastically told Amanda how lucky she was to have nick in her life.
I heard this from co workers after the fight broke out the fight started out because Roy's roommates were talking shit about Amanda and nicks relationship
I never worked with nick but heard he was a total fuckboi and would sleep around with co workers alot I mean alot more than he's been between the sheets with Amanda.
Roy's roommates thought Amanda was disgusting and gross and they wanted a way to humiliate her infront of the other guests at my restaurant and early in the day asked if they could personally have Amanda be there server just so they could bully her and get her for replacing Roy from her management position
They knew if she did anything her ass would be fired from my cracker barrel and she'd be back on ssi/social security and she wouldn't be a problem to one of my managers any more.
Well throughout the night they were giving Amanda all sorts of problems especially when it came time to the food and acused Amanda foe spiting in there food and asked to speak to Roy whom disliked Amanda and wanted to look for any reason to fire Amanda and she got her wish but they ended up both getting fired because of an argument about how nicks been cheating on Amanda with her roomate and how she's a terrible employee and how she should loae her job and Amanda had enough she straight up decked one of Roy's roommates and then Roy hit Amanda in the back of her head with a platter and then Amanda turns around and takes a swing at her and the whole dinning room gets up and starts recording the who thing on snaochat.
That was my night.
