I was a housekeeper at a hotel making $9/hour and about ten minutes ago my brother and I just quit our job.
Last week they fired two people for not agreeing to do extra work without further notice and they fired someone else because she just stopped showing up. (So she basically quit)
Now my brother and I just quit because they wanted us to happily deep clean 15 rooms for only $62 each after taxes.
That’s less than $5 a room.
No thanks.
Not to mention the supervisors were mean, power hungry, never gave us breaks, and stole our tips.
So glad to be gone!
