Company finding loopholes to get out of paying pensions

Hey guys, In a couple of months I’m planning on leaving a company I’ve been with for 15 years. It’s well known at this point that they’ve “taken” pensions away from a few tenured employees due to some kind of convoluted loophole. One guy I use to work with said his was taken and the reason given was his age at the time he started employment was after some kind of “cutoff” point that made him ineligible for it. With HR coming back saying they had made a mistake. My question is- is there anything I can do to stop them taking mine as well? I have account statements showing what I have in it, etc. I would think it’s a legal issue, but they’ve gotten away with it thus far so maybe it just is what it is.
