So my ex-boss just fired me because I asked to move to part time for the remainder of the year. I had been working at this place for 8 years and just wanted a small break since I could afford to. Things had started to go downhill for a while and I thought giving us both a break would help.
Well he thought I went part time to work somewhere else. He texted me and said “I know you went PT to work at X”. His “proof” was that that business is owned by my roommate. Also he used an email verification site, but didn't know how to read the info. So I defended myself, things got heated, no blows exchanged but he didn't want to hear the truth. He also tried to make me sign a document that said I would not pursue unemployment, so I ripped that up and filed immediately upon going home.
Lesson: FUCK LOYALTY
