“Could you come in for just ONE more day after your 2 weeks is up?”

I worked at a franchised Burger King in Texas. When I started the job 9 months ago, I agreed to work 5 days a week. That was until a few months ago when 3 employees quit on the same month, leaving only 6 of us running the whole store. When that happened, they put in me on 6 day weeks without asking me first! I decided to just deal with the bullshit for a couple of weeks till they hired someone else, but I ended up working 6 day weeks for 4 straight weeks! I told them I can't do 6 day weeks anymore and I requested to change my availability to have Saturdays off. They granted my request initially, but that only lasted like one week. When I got COVID 2 months back, my GM didn't even bother to tell any of my co-workers that I was sick with COVID! She told everyone (including my immunocompromised co-worker) that I was just sick with the “Common Cold”, and she even scheduled me to come back to work when I was STILL COVID POSITIVE! The straw that broke the camel's back was when I saw that they scheduled me on another 6 day week without even letting me know! The fact that I was going through a very bad MDD episode (Fatigue, Anxiety, Suicidal Ideation, Etc.) and having to work even MORE hours made it even worse! Thats when I decided to put in my 2 weeks notice. I just couldn't deal with it anymore. A few days before my 2 weeks was up, my GM asked me if I could work one extra day after my 2 weeks. That made me SO ANNOYED! I thought about it for a second and I decided to tell her that I could work the extra day. I ended up just ghosting my GM and just not showing up, leaving her to close the whole store by herself. I don't feel even a shred of guilt for it. Worst job I ever had! I just hope I don't ever end up in another like that ever again…
