My friend doesn’t want to believe she’s being underpaid.

She’s a manager at a store, and she’s getting paid $13/hr to be in charge of employees, counting money, ordering inventory, etc. She justifies it as being a low cost of living area, so she doesn’t need to make as much. I tried pointing out that team leaders in my/our area average $20/hr, and if cost of living is only 85% comparatively, then she should be making $17/hr for the work she is doing, but she got upset. I dropped the conversation, but I hope eventually she realizes she’s worth more than she’s getting paid.
