My boss said he didn't have time to do my annual performance evaluation, which is pretty lengthy at my company to be honest.
Our company still does it on paper and he asked me to check the boxes and he would sign it and hand it in.
I gave myself 10/10 & 'Overachiever' on everything except a few spots where I felt I deserved a 9 or 'Exceeds Expectation'. I would've gotten a 10% bonus if he handed it in. Now he's upset, flabbergasted and distraught.
Boss: “Do you really think you're this amazing?”
Me: “Yeah”
Boss: “How could you think that?”
Me: “Why shouldn't I?”
Boss: “That makes no sense!”
Me: “What interest do I have in doing otherwise?”
He seemed a little relieved when I told him it's on paper and he can just ask HR for another one. But I did overhear him telling another manager about how kids are insane these days.
