A few weeks ago I told my boss that for personal reasons I'm going to need to search for a different place to work. I haven't put in my 2 weeks notice yet, but they posted my job as soon as I had an interview with another place.
I haven't received word back from the place I interviewed with, but I don't think I'd accept it if I was offered. The range they quoted me was too low, and their work environment has a bad reputation. I told my boss this, and she seemed less than happy.
She asked if I would leave if they found the right applicant. I told her I couldn't afford to do that. She said this causes an issue because I told them I was leaving, and they've already posted my job, and scheduled an interview.
I'm a bit pissed off. I hadn't even put in my notice. I only said I was applying, and interviewing elsewhere. They made the choice to post my job prematurely. Now I feel pressured to take whatever I can find, or leave before I even have anything confirmed.
