Is there a legal notice period for disciplinary hearings?

So background: I've been on suspension for the last 4 weeks due to allegations made against me by a disgruntled colleague. Had a fact finding meeting last week, no problems there. I had an email from my area manager this afternoon inviting me to a disciplinary meeting tomorrow morning at 10am, giving me 21 hours notice, and I have been told if I want union representation I need to confirm with my manager by 5pm today. I emailed my rep immediately but have heard nothing. Is this shit legal? Surely I should have a reasonable notice period in order to sort out representation for myself.
