Super confused with jobs that demand all kinds of experience and education. They want to pay the exact same as jobs that don’t require any. Secondly, jobs that demand a baseline know how ALWAYS accompany high stress. My industry is super high stress and I honestly would take a job not in my industry, despite my education and experience, simply for the fact of lower stress. I’m just confused about how any jobs that require these things are getting filled it’s so weird. You have recruiters that have no idea about the businesses they are sifting through applications to hire for, so I can only imagine what the interview pools are like. This economy is so jacked. I can get some shitty no stress part time jobs that pay maybe a dollar or so less an hour than jobs that require insane levels of experience. I just don’t know how companies are even getting anything done in this dynamic. You’re paying to train people, then paying for high turnover rates, and getting shitty products from your shitty investment into your workforce. But this genius dynamic is somehow enough to be paying every CEO 1000 times what the people who actually do the work make? My brain must be broken.
