Partner’s company agreed to pay him $28/hr during the interview and they’re paying them $25. When they asked upper management, they said his position caps out $25 so their handshake and verbal agreement means nothing.

What the title says. My spouse agreed to $25/hr plus a percentage of sales which would get him to $28-30, then they all agreed and my partner shook hands with his bosses’ boss and the CEO. He never got the percentage of sales and when he asked the boss about it they said “um… is it a deal breaker?” and two days called to tell him it wasn’t going to happen then and it isn’t going to happen now or in the future. He asked if there was another, more high paying, position needing to be filled and his boss said no. Annoying.
