Is this approach to customer acquisition and embarrassing a company do-able?

My bf worked for a company for a few months. They provided a subpar product and my bf would show me photos of the work the contractors would do before he got there. They just hired someone to do his job for less and let him go because they’re “going in another direction”. He wants to send the shotty work photos to the clients or theirs whose numbers he has. I don’t know if that could get him in legal trouble or financial trouble. I understand that he wants to tell whoever he can about the terrible work they deliver for exorbitant prices but i am wondering if there are other ways to do that which don’t risk monetary issues litigation or retaliation. Anyone gone through something like this? Are there any cases you know in this regard? What channels might be a better route? He wanted me to ask:…
