If they cannot do this, the market will just put them out of business. Can’t pay your employees? Well I guess your service or product just sucks.
You want experience and a degree? Well then you should be paying at least the minimum salary required to live in the city you want your workers to be in.
Want your workers in the office? Maybe pay them enough so they don’t have to do 2 hour commutes a day.
Enough with wages that can’t get you an apartment without 3 roommates. It’s absolutely ludicrous that we live in a society like this in 2022. It’s some dysfunctional dystopian feudalism wrapped in an iPhone box.
