At the place I work a buddy of mine who has worked here only a few months more than me picked up a higher position relativity fast. They're great at their job and I'm happy for them.
When I got back from a deployment I thought it'd be easy to pick up a similar position with the turn over rate. But instead I'm just sitting in an office browsing Reddit and looking at indeed jobs hoping that I'll find something with better pay that'll finally accept me.
So far, no dice. I feel as if I have applied to almost a hundred jobs and only 5 have sent me an email saying that they chose someone else. FFS, I'm tired of this system and I don't want to work jobs that leave me exhausted wondering if I'll even make it to next week.
