I know that this isn't truly anti work, but I just accepted a job offer where I lied to get more money. I told them I had a second job offer (which I did) that was offering 7k more than they were (which they weren't). They accepted my counter offer for 4k more, a later start date (still burnt out from my last job), and full remote.
I really should have asked for more money, but didn't want to push my luck and I truly would have been happy with the lower amount since the job excited me. I knew they knew I was excited for the opportunity, but I didn't let them screw me over with a low ball offer.
Also, thank you again to this group for helping me get the confidence to actually ask for a better offer.
