Fired from work for being “awkward”. After filing for unemployment and interviewing for unemployment I get an email saying I’ve been fired for my criminal record. How does this effect me? What should I do?

I was working at a company called imminent in Lombard IL. I worked the charity section soliciting donations outside of Sam’s clubs, Walmart’s and Costco’s. To make a long story short they where using some unethical business practices such as signing people up for reoccurring charges with out telling people and lying to them. I told them I was uncomfortable with this and didn’t want to lie to people. First they asked me to quit. When I refused I was let go being told it was because I was “awkward”. Than I filed for unemployment. After I finish my interview with unemployment and tell them what happened I get an email saying I had just been let go today (2 weeks later) because I had a misdemeanor. I even told them about it before they hired me originally and they said since it wasn’t theft it was fine. How will…
