This isn’t as crazy or nearly as unfair as a lot of posts I’ve seen here, but here it is anyway. I work in a kitchen as a newly appointed Sous chef. Boss told me to start coming in early for my shift so I started coming in 20 minutes early every day. It’s actually been going great, I’m getting more done, I feel better at the start of the shift. Today I looked at my time card and I compared it to previous time cards and he’s been changing my clock in time to my actual scheduled time every day. Taking 20 minutes of pay away from me every day for the past three weeks. Almost all of that has been overtime pay as well. I’m internally debating if I want to just show up at my scheduled time from now on and maliciously comply and just lose out on that money that he’s already stolen from me, or If I want to continue to come in every day and save every single time card slip I get from every single day so after he takes enough money from me I can sue for wage theft and maybe get some reparations on top of it.
