So for context, I am working for a big company as an Account payables clerk. We have flexible hours so I can start anywhere between 7 am and 10 am as long as I do my hours.
I do 37.5 h a week and I am not paid for overtime unless it has been approved beforehand. Because of this I do exactly my 7.5 a day not a minute more not a minute less. If I take a longer lunch I stay later and if I need to do overtime a day I finish earlier the next day.
My boss is new to her role and she is allegedly only repeating what the director said. The other day she asked me to come into her office because they feel like I am too “micro managing”. She said that if I am not willing to be flexible on my hours then they will have to micro manage me to make sure I do exactly my hours.
