Antiwork

My work is having a zoom class with a mental health coach. I’m literally sitting here listening to some woman tell us what to do if we have suicidal thoughts.

Apparently we should be asking ourselves out-loud once a day “do I feel like killing myself?”, wait three seconds, then answer the question. If yes, call the hotline blah blah. And if you think a coworker is contemplating suicide, notify HR. How sad is this? How did we let things get this way? The best antidepressant is a living wage. They say money can't buy happiness but that only applies to people who already have what they need and are just getting diminishing returns from additional money. But instead it's been warped into this tautology for why we shouldn't expect fair pay. The beatings will continue until morale improves. (Tagging this nsfw for the sensitive topics.) edit: “some woman” wasn't meant derogatorily, I could have said some stranger.
