I started a new job a few months ago & the person training me is the person that used to do my role before their promotion.
They give zero fucks about training me & never has time. He ignores all my questions completely.
The job requires me to audit specific documents yearly.
Since I can’t get his help doing/learning my 2022 work, I tried looking back at his 2021 work to see if I could figure out the requirements on my own, but his shit was wrong that year too.
Even with my limited training, I can tell his 2021 work is wrong. Why did no one notice!?
I really wanted to do a good job in the role, but if he’s clearly been doing it wrong for years & still getting promotions…this makes it REEEALLLY hard for me to believe that anyone would care if I did a shit job too. 🤷️
