I officially have been working my analyst office job for one year and I had my annual review. Ended up with a $1400 raise and a $1000 bonus. But also got a variety of lectures.
For one, I haven't really gone into the office for the entire year I have been working here despite the expectation of me coming in twice a week existing.
I also haven't been “anticipating my teams needs” properly and “resolving issues before they come up.” Apparently my manager wants me to read minds.
Because I'm in a technical job they also disliked that I made every assignment they gave me technical. Apparently they hired me to be able to understand what they need without needing to ask for clarifications.
They also are unhappy with me not being able to make other teams produce reports faster for them. It's apparently my fault that when I forward emails to them, they are very confused as to what is being requested and it take several weeks for clarification.
They also don't like that I don't reply immediately up receiving any messages from them. This is because during my free time I usually do other stuff while not being in the office.
They told me if in six months I'm not improving they'll need to put me on closer watch. Honestly, this is kind of crazy considering how long I've been here and that I haven't been fired in that time. I kind of want to get another remote job, work both and see how long I can coast in this one until they let me go.
