I recently received a raise as a counter offer. Shortly after receiving the raise, the COO who I had spoken to and had done the increase for me no longer works for the company, I believe this is because he was terminated.
It's been a little over two months since the increase and I know the company has been asking around for replacements for my position. Their biggest gripe is that I don't schedule myself for Sundays. The manager prior to me was working here for 4 years and their days off were always Sunday Monday. I have worked every Sunday since starting here 2 years ago and only just recently switched last month, and have no problem switching back, which I am already in the process of doing.
They have not come to me and addressed any of this. I don't know if they will talk to me and try to work something out or if they will just end up firing me.
I am already in the process of applying for other jobs, but if I do end up getting fired, is this grounds for retaliation and should I get a lawyer?
