Boss pretended to be surprised I didn’t stay past lunch time on my last day

It's customary (at least in my industry) to leave early on the last day. No work gets done on the last day anyway, it's dedicated to farewells. Yet a manager pretend to be surprised I wasn't coming back to the office from the group lunch, in front of the entire team. Such a shítty trick. It was an attack on me (at attempt to paint me as lazy) as well as an attempt to communicate expectations to the team. The funniest part? Everyone else knew the custom and the trick actually worked against him showing how unreasonable he is.
