PTO subtracted from last paycheck

I recently resigned from a pretty problematic workplace. I was one of 3 in our small department that did so and we did it to make a statement about treatment and our own mental health. Myself and 2 other counterparts at work were asked to leave at the end of the same day we put in our notice. I was given my last paycheck and not only was my pay reduced to hourly instead of prorated salary, they didn’t include PTO I had taken over the last month. 3 days were pre-planned and approved PTO and 2 days were call out sick days, which I had PTO to cover. They did this to my two other co-workers. I know the clinic is financially in trouble, but this also feels like a petty, somewhat illegal maneuver. Suggestions on how to address this?
