Maybe you guys can help me. My wife's grandpa died this weekend. I live in Illinois and work at a factory and to my understanding “immediate family ” includes grandparents. Witch should qualify me for 5 days off paid. I ask for 1 half day off (sat) so I can be pallbearer. and they said they will not pay me for that. Can they legally do that ?
