I work for a small business, never more than 4 employees. At the end of 2020 I was given a 10 grand bonus which I was told was from the PPP loan my boss received. I know for a fact no other employees received a bonus. I thought wow that’s great and I still am grateful to have received something. Today I found out how much our business actually received. 2 loans, one in 2020 and another in 2021 for a total of a little over $104,000.
We never closed (essential business) and we had one slow week right after the lockdown was called. That’s it. 2020 was our most profitable year ever. We most certainly did not need the money for payroll so I wonder were the rest of 90 grand went…
The PPP loans total almost 800 billion taxpayer dollars. 740 million of it completely forgiven. I wonder how much of that money actually made it to the pockets of employees…
