Hello everyone.
I just wanted to share that today I quit my job, after working for 3 years for the same company.
Yesterday I asked my boss if he had a moment to talk, he decided to not answer my message all day long so at the end of the work day I sent him another message saying I have left my resignation paper to his secretary. After about 30 minutes (after the end of my working hours) he decided to call me. As you might guess I did not even pick up, which I can assume that enraged him since he is not used to people disobeying him.
Long story short, he called me this morning (he was currently at the office, so no reason for him to call) and asked if I am okay to leave tomorrow with mutual agreement to which i replied “yes” because I couldn't be more happy to stop working for such an asshole anytime sooner.
After which I guess he informed the Managers, one of whom gathered her team and told them that the following about me: “she decided to quit, because she got scared from the new responsibilities (since recently I got “promoted”)”. Meanwhile my manager hasn't even asked me why I even decided to quit, but she was quick to talk behind my back to another colleague saying how disappointed she was in me.
All this just made me realize how much more toxic the work environment was.
Update: Before leaving I made sure to tell my manager that she is a hypocrite. Her face was priceless. After which I left the room. Later on a good colleague of mine told me that the same manager went on with “teary eyes” to whine to my boss about my behaviour.
Oh and I also managed to fuck up my boss with 600 bucks, for which he is very sour.
