Antiwork

On a 2 day training course and H&S Manager tried to set us homework at the end of todays session, the look on his face was priceless when I told him I don’t get paid after 4pm so I won’t be doing any homework unless he pays me overtime, at double rate because it’s short notice.

Oddly the look on the other lads faces on the course also looked pretty shocked and looked like they were on the verge of having a go at me until I pointed out to them that we are at work, not at school. Any work I do, I get paid for it or it doesn’t get done. Then the realisation seemed to click in all of them, even the H&S manager agreed I was right and dropped the idea. I think School seems to train people to think unpaid homework is acceptable or at least not question or object to it.
