Antiwork

I was going to post this on Facebook, but I’m friends with too many people from work.

“Completely drained mentally from work. Tired of the same old problems. Afraid a heavier workload is coming, and I’m already spread too thin. If I were to leave or if something were to happen to me, too much knowledge and experience would be lost (not arrogant, just nobody knows everything I do and I’m the only one who fully understands the workings of our processes), and I don’t know what the company would do. I don’t plan on leaving, but something is going to change outside of my control, and I will be stuck with the aftermath. “ I lead a team that covers 3 shifts M-F. I lead a team that covers 3 shifts M-F. Don’t get any manager pay but whatever. I spend maybe half my time researching/fixing mistakes 2/3 of them have made instead of my actual job. New manager (not on site FT yet, internal transfer still doing both jobs) calling out all mistakes and I have to report why, and I have no reason to give. I’m getting heat for them not doing the job as I trained them. I am at my wit’s end. I fear someone is going to get fired and I’m gonna be stuck picking up the slack. One has already bid out and my good worker gets pulled often to cover another role. I’ve been getting grief from my new boss, and I have no control. I have no explanations to give her over why my team isn’t doing what they’ve been told to do. “

I’m at my wit’s end with my team. They’ve all been in role long enough to know better. I don’t know what else to do at this point. I’m afraid someone is going to get fired over these mistakes, and I hope it’s not me.
