My job was so torturing. I left after 10 months. My lead bullied me, micromanaged, made me work on weekends while being unpaid, said a ton of racist things, and treated me like I was her assistant. It’s a specialized field that paid 6 digits, yet she made me print stuff for her. My boss never did anything about it and would have secret meetings with her. She made 2 people before me leave within 4 months.
My job gives 5 days for bereavement, so I lied that my grandpa just passed away. He was dead before I was even born. In California, if you get COVID, you are entitled to 10 days of Covid pay while you are off. Then I lied that I got COVID at the funeral. I sent a fake test and said I was positive. I got my 15 days off and went on a nice vacation. Once I returned from my vacation, I turned in my letter of resignation. My boss is the enabler, yet he acted surprised when I turned in my two weeks notice. He said I was the problem to have issues with my lead, but he was disregarding the two coworkers who left before me.
