At first, I thought it was just a coincidence that tasks from him seem to pick up when I get home and on the weekends but now it's just getting ridiculous.
I am at work all day 8-5 and never anything from him but as soon as I get home for the day, “we need to get this done, it's urgent”, “we need this presentation for the meeting tomorrow morning”.
It gets worse on the weekends and it's very common to wake up to a request on Saturday mornings.
I get that these things happen and I'll need to work at home every once in a while but it really is too frequent at this point.
Just got back from work and like clockwork, I've gotten a task due tomorrow because it'll need to be reviewed before Monday. I was at work for 9 hours today and not a peep all day.
What can I do here? I can't quit because I need the money and I don't want to risk being deemed “not a team player”.
