Here's the kicker though. She's upset that I used Vacation Time to vote, rather than just going to vote. She confirmed with our boss, and told me to just put in for the hour.
As much as I have issues with certain aspects of this job out of their control, this is a very nice culture.
EDIT: This is supposed to be a joke, my boss is lovely, and especially compared to my previous employers. They were terrible, and penny pinched every single hour you got. She was upset I was wasting it, rather than just not using it and getting paid anyway. Even with all the problems surrounding the world, sometimes it helps to hear that there are a few good ones, ya know?
