A union is basically the opposite of HR

Unions are paid for by their employees, HR is paid for by the company. Unions look out for the employees over the interests of the company, HR looks out for the company over the interests of the employee. Unions try to get their employees the best pay and benefits, HR tries to get their employees the lowest pay and benefits. etc…
