The physical offices no longer exist. I am completely qualified and have been accepted for unemployment but I cannot certify for my benefits for the weeks I worked because I can’t log into my account. Every time I try to log into UI l it states that my credentials do not match because it is attached to an old email address that I used when I applied for benefits in 2005. There is no way to change this from the website. I have been attempting to call the unemployment office for over two months. Majority of the time it just states that there are too many callers and they cannot help you at the time. The three times I’ve actually got through and contacted a human, it is someone that barely speaks English and tells me they have to transfer me to the technical support department. So I wait on the line while they’re supposedly transfer me And eventually after 20 to 45 minutes it just hangs up on me. When I call back either and connected to a human being again that says they have to transfer him once more or it says they cannot take my call at this time. Being that no unemployment offices exist physically in California anymore there is no chance of talking to someone in person either. So basically if you’ve collected unemployment in the past 10 years or more and you no longer have access to your old email account it doesn’t matter if you create a new account or not you are not allowed to login and certify for your benefits therefore you will receive no money and no payouts. This is what our taxes are paying for. What an absolute joke.
