Was in orientation for a new job recently and the manager providing orientation said that it is a requirement that we answer calls, texts, and emails from work even when we are off and we must check them every day, even when off. Then proceeded to tell us that her days off were Saturday and Sunday and to not call, text, or email her on those days because she’s off. I bit my tongue so hard.
