I really wish this was a joke but it's not.
For context I work as an administrator for a company that leases cars. I only make 19k a year.
I took some time off work as my grandfather, who I was extremely close too, was dying and I wanted to be at his side. After 5 days he passed and I took the next day off as I wasn't in a good place to work.
I was assured everything was fine and work is not a priority so I should be with my family.
Just got my paycheck today and those days I took off were not put on bereavement pay so I haven't been paid for the time off even though I had been assured not to worry about it.
Just before Christmas I now have about £900 to live off and pay for bills and food as well as Christmas stuff.
And they wonder why people keep quitting this place.
Im done. Spent the day applying for new jobs. I hate this company.
