I’m not against working and earning money for the things I want/need, but I am getting sick of being paid significantly less than my co-workers just because I’m a federal government contractor and they are full time government employees. I do the exact same job as they do. Literally the exact same job. However, I’m paid 30-40 percent less, have no benefits at all, and essentially no leave; pto or sick. Not to mention contract positions are always being threatened with elimination. For some reason I’ve stuck around for almost 10 years (13 if counting my internship) hoping for a federal position.
