I’m an hourly worker at a church. I’m being asked to take some training on my free time for no payment. The training is reasonable. I just want to draw a clear line that my time has value, and set a precedent for others who won’t speak up for themselves. I’ve also been told that if I don’t do the training, my paycheck will be withheld. So yeah. Can they do this without accountability? If not, what should I share? Thanks!
