So I interviewed for an internship position today where they didn’t mention if it was paid or not (it’s normal for internships to be paid where I’m from).
Turns out that it’s an unpaid position which yeah, not my cup of tea but I can accept it since it would also double as a thesis project. But they then mentioned that if I am excited about the position, I could continue being an intern even after the internship period ends (so still unpaid).
Am I wrong to believe that’s exploitation? I don’t plan on accepting it after that comment.
