McDonald’s not letting employees accept tips

Just went through a McDonald's drive thru and it was 10:30pm (I've worked in fast food so I know how annoying late night orders get at the end of your shift) my girlfriend and the person at the window had a really enjoyable conversation and I liked the guy so I wanted to try to make up for being that annoying end of night customer and give him a 10 dollar tip but he looks at us with sadness in his eyes and says technically he could get in trouble with his work for accepting it, I asked him if it was because it was 10 dollars or what the rule was, and he goes on to say that they aren't allowed to accept tips at all regardless of amount Man I just wanted him to take my token of appreciation and fuck any restaurant that says their employees aren't…

TL;DR – McDonald's doesn't let good workers take tips and it's shitty of them and it has no point in being a rule
