Question about leaving my first job.

Have been working somewhere I don't want to be for too long. I finally found an opportunity to leave and do something I really enjoy and receiving an offer better than what I'm getting from current job, and I plan on giving my two weeks notice soon. My question is this: I'm supposed to recieve a bonus for work I did back in 2021 within the two weeks of me giving my notice. Can the company legally withhold that bonus pay after learning I won't be with them, even if I'm still employed by them when that bonus is scheduled to be paid out?
